    Warm-Up and the Asolo Hills

Leaving Treviso after an optional visit to the beautiful Pinarello flagship store, there is a first taste of the hills in the Montello, before visiting neighboring Montebelluna, the sport-shoe mecca of Italy. After a coffee and cake in the main square of picturesque Asolo its on to the nearby town of Bassano del Grappa, famous for the 'Alpini' military division, and of course for the potent Grappa spirit with which it shares it's name.

    Prosecco Hills Epic Climb

The morning starts with a little climb up to the Canova monument in Possagno before the route crosses the river and passes through the town of Valdobbiadene, ground zero of Prosecco winemaking. Leaving Valdobbiadene, our next goal for the day is the Passo San Boldo, a 7 km climb on the far end of the Prosecco Valley.

Not the hardest or longest climb in the area, but arguably one of the most spectacular feats of road engineering in the world. From here it's a beautiful downhill and flat run all the way to Belluno.

    The Land of Cycling Heroes

The route today brings you through the foothills just south of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park to Cesiomaggiore, "town of cycling", and home to the “Museo Storico della Bicicletta”. Although not on a main tourist route, this carefully curated museum has an extraordinary amount of artifacts inside, from the earliest examples of working bicycles to Giro time trial machines. The route then loops back through the picturesque villages of Ponte Mas and Bolzano Bellunese before descending back into Belluno proper.
